We also run the local heavy weights gymnasium, a health and fitness centre and provide free meeting areas and office space with IT equipment to local voluntary and community groups.
Here are just a few of our recent projects:
Copperdale House.
Copperdale is based in what was once Benchill Police Station . It has been ‘transformed’ over the years into a family home for up to ten young single men who need time to recoup and make a fresh start or new beginning in a safe environment.
Whilst staying in Copperdale there is the opportunity to brush up on life skills and become independent. Everyone is encouraged to make the very best of themselves and we do our best to help find training and employment and eventually move on. There is 24 hour cover and a full-time support network.
The Street Peace Conference.
Starting as a focus-group, 7th January 2010, Street Peace launched as a Conference and DVD in March 2010, bringing together key stakeholders and decision makers within (and outside) inner city communities.
